Why Fulfilled Eschatology Matters

Those who believe the END TIMES/LAST DAYS haven't happened yet, find themselves in a CATCH 22

Futurist (Christian) Eschatology is in a CATCH 22, because its proponents MUST make allegorical the very scriptures that show WE ARE NOT in THE LAST DAY/END TIMES. Don’t believe me? Take a stroll through these 22 questions, that consist of 73 scriptures; which Futurist (Christian) Eschatology believers MUST & DO make allegorical, and see if you’re caught in this CATCH 22!

A Futurist catch 22?

22 questions Futurists must allegorize:

#1) Why do Futurist Christians proclaim we are the Bride of Christ (2nd Corinthians 11:2) but deny New Jerusalem (which Revelation 21:9-10 says is the Bride of Christ) has already descended, even though Hebrews 12:22 said believers had already come to the Heavenly Jerusalem, and Christ (Matthew 5:14) said his disciples are that "city set on a hill) which is the true Mount Zion (Hebrews 12:22)?

#2) Remember when 2 + 2 = 4? Could a Futurist Christian explain to me how 2nd Corinthians 6:16 "for ye are the temple of the living God" doesn't equal Revelation 21:3 "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men" please?

#3) How can Futurist Christians believe that Revelation 16:6, 17:6 & 18:24 are not the fulfillment of Matthew 23:35 and hasn’t happened yet when Christ said it would be fulfilled in the 1st century (Matthew 23:36)?

#4) Why do Futurist Christians believe the resurrection has not yet occurred when Christ said “I am the resurrection” (John 11:25) and “Now that the dead are raised” (Luke 20:37) and 1st John 3:14 says “We know that we have passed from death unto life”?

#5) Why do Futurist Christians deny the enemies of Christ are under his feet when 1st Corinthians 15:27, Ephesians 1:22 & Hebrews 2:8 specifically says they are, and Hebrews 2:8 also specifically states “He left nothing that is not put under him”?

#6) How can Futurist Christians believe that Christ doesn’t have all power in Heaven & Earth when he specifically said he does (Matthew 28:18) or that Christ doesn’t yet have power over all flesh, when he specifically said this as well (John 17:2)?

#7) Why are Futurist Christians looking for Jesus to return when Christ told his 1st century disciples he would always be with them (Matthew 28:20) and also said “Where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20)?

#8) Why are Futurist Christians looking for a kingdom to come with observation, when Christ specifically said “my kingdom comes not with observation” (Luke 17:20) and also told his 1st century disciples that “The kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21)?

#9) How can Futurist Christians say Acts 17:31 “Because he has appointed a day, in which he will judge the world” hasn’t happened yet, even though Christ said “For now is the judgment of this world” (John 13:31) nearly 2,000 years ago?

#10) Why do Futurist Christians believe & teach there will be no sin or death in the New Heaven and New Earth when Isaiah 65:17-20 says there would be? Knowing this, how do we know the New Heaven and New Earth are not yet present?

#11) How can Futurist Christians teach that parts of the Law & Prophets have passed when Christ said none would pass until they were all fulfilled, and that Heaven & Earth would pass before then (Matthew 5:17-18)?

#12) Why do Futurist Christians believe “The End” will come once the Gospel has been preached throughout the world (Matthew 24:14) but don’t believe that has happened yet, even though Colossians 1:5, 6, Romans 1:8 & 10:18 say the Gospel had already gone out to the whole world?

#13) How can Christians believe “The end of the age” is yet future, when Hebrews 9:26 & 1st Corinthians 10:11 said those in the 1st century were in “The end of the age”?

#14) Why are Futurist Christians looking for “The age to come” when Matthew 12:32, Mark 10:30 cf. Luke 18:30, Hebrews 2:5 & 6:5 all say it was about to happen?

#15) How can Futurist Christians believe God has not Fulfilled the Land promises made to Israel when Joshua 21:45, 23:14 & Nehemiah 9:8 says God fulfilled all promises made to Israel?

#16) Why do Futurist Christians believe “shortly” meant a short period of time in Acts 25:4, 1st Corinthians 4:19, Philippians 2:19, 24, 2nd Timothy 4:9, Hebrews 13:23, 2nd Peter 1:14, and 3rd John 1:14 but not in Romans 16:20, Revelation 1:1 & 22:6?

#17) why do Futurist Christians believe “every eye will see him” (Revelation 1:7) yet 1st Thessalonians 5:2 says it “will be as a thief in the night” and Hebrews 9:28 says “unto them that look for him shall he appear” will everybody be looking for him?

#18) How can Futurist Christians believe Christ will return “in like manner” (Acts 1:11) and Revelation 1:16 says he has a sword coming out of his mouth, and Revelation 19:11 says he comes on a white horse? Was that the way he left?

#19) How can Futurist Christians believe Christ hasn’t abolished death yet, and that they’ll die, when 2nd Timothy 1:10 says he did, and John 8:51 & 11:26 says they won’t?

#20) Why don’t Futurist Christians believe they are “in the kingdom” (Colossians 1:13) “seated in heavenly places” (Ephesians 2:6) already “new creatures” (2nd Corinthians 5:17)?

#21) Why do Futurist Christians believe the “very elect” can be deceived when Christ (Matthew 24:24) says it’s not possible? Was it “possible” for the cup to pass from Christ (Matthew 26:29)?

#22) Why do Futurist Christians believe “that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (2nd Thessalonians 2:12) when 2nd Thessalonians 2:11 says that is a lie?

Why is it necessary to make these 73 scriptures allegorical in fulfillment, nature of fulfillment and/or timing of fulfillment? Could it be be because not making them allegorical would demonstrate (scripturally) that we're not in the last days/end times? Maybe that's why Futurist Christianity MUST & DOES make them allegorical?
